His remarks came a day after the Supreme Court refused to defer the NEET UG 2021 exam scheduled for September 12. The apex court had said that it does not want to interfere with the process and it will be "very unfair" to reschedule it.
The bench comprising Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Hrishikesh Roy, and Justice CT Ravikumar said, “For one per cent candidates, the entire system cannot be put on hold.”
While the National Testing Agency on September 3 had clarified to the bench that the students who are appearing for the CBSE compartment exams will be allowed to appear for the medical entrance examination, irrespective of the fact that CBSE results would not be declared by then.
Meanwhile, the NTA released the NEET 2021 admit card at neet.nta.nic.in. More than 16 lakh registered aspirants are expected to download NEET 2021 hall tickets .
