Professor Sandeep Sancheti joins Elsevier India as VP of Research Relations and Academic Ambassador

NEW DELHI: Elsevier announced the appointment of Sandeep Sancheti as Vice President of Research Relations and Academic Ambassador for India.
Sancheti, with a long-standing and stellar career spanning over 40 years, is recognised for his leadership roles in esteemed organisations.
Sancheti served as President at both the Association of Indian Universities and Manipal University, Jaipur; as well as held key positions as the Director of NITK Surathkal, NIT New Delhi, NIT Tiruchirappalli, NIT Calicut and School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi.
He also served as Vice Chancellor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai and most recently, at Marwadi University Rajkot. His vision also encompassed mentoring roles for NIT Goa, NIT Puducherry and NIT Sikkim.
"Sancheti's wealth of experience and exceptional contributions to academia make him a valuable addition to the Elsevier team. We are confident that his leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing and deepening our research and academic collaborations in India", said Nick Fowler, Chief Academic Officer at Elsevier.
Beyond administrative excellence, he a distinguished researcher, contributing significantly to the field with over 80 research papers in national and international journals.
Sancheti has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship, Fellowship under Colombo Plan, SERC Fellowship from DST, Gol, and a UKISTRF award from the British Council.
In his new capacity at Elsevier, Sancheti will strengthen the company and its network among academic leaders and funders across India. His extensive experience aligns with Elsevier's commitment to being a trusted, innovative and collaborative provider of services and content in the region.
