Puducherry schools to reopen for Classes 9 to 12 from September 1: Report

NEW DELHI: The Puducherry government has decided to reopen schools in Puducherry, Karaikal, and Yanam regions for Classes 9 to 12 from September 1, according to an official statement by the government, the Asian News International report said.

"It has been decided to reopen schools for the students from classes IX-XII for the academic year 2021-2022 from 01.09.2021 in Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions,” the official statement said.

“Schools for the students from classes IX to XII to reopen from 1st September in Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions: Government of Puducherry,” ANI said in a social media post.

According to the official notification, the government has asked all schools to carry out preparatory works for school reopening before September 1.

The Puducherry government further asked the heads of schools to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the government regarding reopening of schools.
