Rajasthan approves Rs 22.76 crore to set up Institute of Pediatrics and Neonatology

NEW DELHI: The Rajasthan government has approved a budget outlay of Rs 22.76 crore for the establishment of the Institute of Pediatrics and Neonatology in Ajmer Medical College. The initiative has been done in compliance with the budget announcement, informed Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot.

According to Gehlot, the government has sent a proposal for Rs 13.3 crore for civil work and Rs 9.63 crore for equipment purchases required for the establishment of the Institute of Pediatrics and Neonatology.

"In compliance of point number 14 of the budget announcement 2022-23, proposals of Rs 13.13 crore for civil work and Rs 9.63 crore for equipment purchase were sent to the Finance Department for the construction of the Institute of Pediatrics and Neonatology," Gehlot tweeted.

बजट घोषणा 2022-23 के बिंदु संख्या 14 की अनुपालना में बाल रोग एवं नवजात विज्ञान संस्थान के निर्माण में सिविल कार्य की मद में 13.13 करोड़ रूपय व उपकरण खरीद हेतु 9.63 करोड़ रूपए के प्रस्ताव वित्त विभाग को भेजे गए थे।

The chief minister further noted that his government had announced the opening of new medical institutes in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota during the state budget speech 2022-23. In the budget speech, the government announced that these institutes will be established at a cost of Rs 250 crore.
