Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026: RSSB invites applications for junior engineer posts in PWD, water resources and PHED departments.
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has invited applications for 874 Junior Engineer (JE) posts across the Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). Eligible candidates can apply online from August 16 to September 14, 2026, through the Rajasthan SSO portal and recruitment portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
The RSSB Rajasthan JE recruitment includes junior engineer posts for candidates holding degree and diploma qualifications in civil engineering, along with diploma-level junior engineer posts in mechanical/electrical engineering under PHED. The vacancies are divided between the non-scheduled and scheduled areas of Rajasthan.
Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have completed 40 years as on January 1, 2027, subject to the applicable age relaxations under Rajasthan government rules.

Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026: Vacancy details
According to the notification, the 874 vacancies are distributed across three departments. Of the total vacancies, 793 are for the non-scheduled area and 81 for the scheduled area. Candidates applying for different post categories will have to submit separate applications.

Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026: Important dates
The online application process began on August 16, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications until September 14, 2026, 11:59 PM. Candidates have been advised not to wait until the last date to complete the application process.
The recruitment examination is tentatively proposed for February 2027. RSSB has proposed conducting the exam through computer-based testing (CBT), tablet-based testing (TBT) or offline OMR mode. The board has retained the right to change the examination date.

Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026: Steps to apply
Candidates will have to log in through the SSO portal and select the recruitment portal to submit their applications. The below mentioned steps will help to complete the application process.
- Visit the Rajasthan SSO portal.
- Log in using your SSO ID.
- Go to Recruitment Portal.
- Select Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026.
- Complete OTR registration, if not already done.
- Fill in the application form.
- Upload the required details/documents.
- Check the form and submit it.
- Save the application form and application ID for future reference.
The selection examination will consist of 120 marks and will be held for two hours. For the civil engineering degree and diploma posts, the paper will include Rajasthan-related general knowledge and the relevant civil engineering section. The exam will comprise multiple-choice questions.
