NEW DELHI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct the RBI Grade B exam for Phase 1 on March 6, 2021. RBI Grade B is conducted to recruit candidates for Grade B officers at RBI branches. RBI released the Grade B Phase 1 admit card on February 25, 2021, at rbi.org.in. The RBI Grade B exam is a three-tier exam - prelims, mains and interview. Candidates appearing for the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam are advised to check these important tips to crack the exam.
RBI Grade B Phase 1: Exam highlights
The question paper in RBI Grade B Phase 1 will be from subjects such as - General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning.
There will be 200 questions carrying 200 marks with a time duration of 2 hours.
To score high in the RBI Grade B 2021 exam, candidates have to make sure to attempt maximum questions in the exam.
0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking for every incorrect answer.
RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Preparations - English Language
English is one of the easiest section to score.
The questions from English will be from antonyms and synonyms, comprehension, errors and para jumbles.
For those who have read English newspaper, dictionaries it will be easy to solve the questions.
RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Preparations - Reasoning Ability
This section has 60 questions, so candidates must take this seriously and try to attempt a maximum number of questions.
It’s a scoring section and if candidates have the reasoning tips and tricks they can successfully crack this section as the question pattern are similar.
While attempting this section, make sure to not spend too much time.
RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Preparations - Quantitative Aptitude
Quantitative Aptitude has 30 questions.
Quant will have questions from Arithmetic, Data Interpretation and Simplification.
Those candidates who have learned the shortcuts to solve the questions can score high marks here.
The difficulty level will be of graduation level. Focusing is the main key here, but make sure to be quick in the exams as it can be time-consuming.
RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Preparations - General Awareness
This is a dynamic section and candidates who are up with everyday news and facts can qualify it.
Questions from the previous 6-month current affairs will come in the exam.
Budget, monetary and fiscal policies related questions, government financial schemes, international summits, sports tournaments, books and authors, etc will be among the other topics asked for in this section. Candidates are advised to go through the major events before appearing for the exam.
The RBI is conducting the Grade B exam to fill 322 vacancies for Grade ‘B’(DR)- General, Grade ‘B’(DR)- DEPR and Grade ‘B’(DR)- DSIM posts. The primary duties of the Grade B Officer will involve managing government and central bank accounts, maintaining the circulation of currencies, Keeping a check on inflation.
