RIMCEE 2026 December registration starts for Class 8 admissions; apply by Sept 30

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration for the Rashtiya Indian Military College Entrance Examination (RIMCEE) 2026. Eligible students can apply for the RIMCEE for admission to Class 8 at RIMC, Dehradun, through the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/rimcee/.

Class 7 students seeking admission to Class 7 at RIMC, Dehradun, will be able to register for the RIMCEEE 2026 December examination by September 30, up to 5 pm and the late application window will be available until October 7.

The RIMCEE 2026 stage-1 written examination will be conducted on December 6 and will be held for a duration of 4 hours and 30 minutes. Those who will clear stage 1, will be advanced to appear in stage 2 for viva voce, tentatively scheduled for April 2027.

RIMCEE 2026; Eligibility, application fee

Notably, students should have to qualify both written test and the vice voce round.

General, ward of defence personnel students should have to pay Rs 1,000 for the RIMCEE 2026 registration. Those belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC)- Non Creamy Layer (NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, must pay Rs 750 as application fee.

As per the eligibility criteria, students must have cleared Class 7 examination and must be between 12-and-a-half and 14 years of age as on July 1, 2027.

The prescribed date-of-birth range for RIMCEE 2026 is July 2, 2013, to January 1, 2015, inclusive. Students must also be studying in Class 7 or have passed Class 7 from a recognised school.
