SAU extends UG, PG application deadline to June 15; admissions via JEE,CAT, GATE scores

The South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi has extended the deadline for submitting applications for its undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions to 15 June 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for various programmes at SAU through the official website at admissions.sau.int.

The university offers various programmes in engineering, computer science, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, International Relations, Sociology, Legal Studies, Media Arts, and Management, among others.

The SAU application fee for Indian students is Rs 1,740. It is a non-refundable registration fee.

Candidates will be admitted to UG, and PG programmes for the academic year 2026-27 through a national-level entrance examinations such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), Common University Entrance Test (CUET), Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

SAU Admissions 2026: UG, PG merit list on May 28

“The extension of the application deadline has been made to provide additional opportunity to students from India and other SAARC countries to apply and become part of SAU’s diverse international academic community,” according to an official press release.

The SAU provides “state-of-the-art academic” and residential facilities. Degrees awarded by South Asian University are recognized by the UGC and other relevant statutory bodies, it said.

The SAU first merit list for UG, PG admissions will be announced on May 28 onwards. While, the result for PhD admissions will be declare on June 11.

South Asian University is an international university established by the Governments of the SAARC Nations with the vision of promoting regional cooperation and academic excellence in South Asia, it added.
