Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited an Anganwadi centre at Kakojan, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. He also visited Holongparara’s Amrit Sarovar, engaging self-help groups and promoting green initiatives.
Teachers’ Day 2025: While presenting the state awards to 40 teachers on the occasion, the Governor said that higher secondary education should prepare students to deal with complexity, discipline, and independent judgment.

"The state government has recruited 19,800 employees of various categories during the past seven years out of which 5,215 are teachers. The government wants to recruit quality teachers for imparting quality education in government schools", CM said.
The agreement between the two will pave the way for joint initiatives, including quarterly awareness programmes, capacity-building workshops for teachers, counsellors, e-modules on drug prevention, community outreach, among other efforts.
