The government will open integrated special secondary schools in Ghaziabad and Pratapgarh this session. These schools already operate in seven districts, including Lucknow and Prayagraj, for Classes 6 to 12.
A state-level safety audit committee meeting will be held on August 12, the minister said, adding that classes at the Karthikappally Government UPS School have been shifted to a new building after the roof collapse.
A schoolgirl was allegedly harassed multiple times by the mathematics teacher, but no action followed even after she informed the headmaster. Inspector-in-charge Lopamudra Panda said they have been detained and are being questioned.

E-rickshaws are unsafe for transporting schoolchildren, and their use for this purpose is banned to ensure student safety, the order by district collector Kaushalendra Singh stated.
