CBSE urges schools to use PM eVidya CBSE-15 for academic support and teacher training

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has urged schools to use the PM eVidya CBSE-15 channel to provide supplementary academic support, teacher training, and subject-specific content for students and teachers. The content includes curriculum-aligned lessons, subject enrichment, pedagogy modules, and assessment guidance.

The board states that the channel provides uniform access to learning resources across regions and supports inclusive education. Grade-wise and theme-specific videos allow competency-based instruction and self-paced learning. Repeated telecasts and online access help students revise and understand concepts beyond classroom hours.

Currently, 67 e-videos are available on the PM eVidya CBSE-15 channel. The videos, developed with subject matter experts, cover teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and integration of technology in classroom instruction. The content is aligned with curricular objectives, textbooks, and the National Education Policy 2020.

Integration of e-videos into classroom teaching

As per the official board notice, schools are advised to integrate these e-videos into lesson planning, classroom teaching, and remediation programmes. Teachers can strengthen instructional practices, while students can use the content for self-learning and concept clarification.

“Schools are encouraged to use these educational e-videos suitably for enrichment, revision and remediation. Teachers may integrate them into their lesson planning, classroom transactions, and strengthen instructional effectiveness. Students may also utilise the content for concept clarification and self-learning,” the official notice said.

Access to PM eVidya e-videos via CBSE TV YouTube channel

The Board has invited experienced resource persons to contribute additional high-quality e-videos following prescribed guidelines for content development. Principals and school heads are requested to set up the required infrastructure, as detailed in Circular Trg-30 dated June 11, 2024, and to inform teachers and students about the availability of the content.

The videos are also accessible through the CBSE TV YouTube channel, enhancing outreach and enabling continuous learning for students and professional development for teachers.
