Sharda University students receive national award for BDS exam
Namrata Gaur and Shivangi Garg from Sharda School of Dental Sciences received a national award for scoring highest marks in BDS final year throughout India.

NEW DELHI: 2 students, Namrata Gaur and Shivangi Garg from Sharda University's school of dental sciences received a national award for scoring the highest marks in their bachelor of dental science (BDS) final exam throughout India at the 33rd Indian society for dental research conference.
10 faculty members from Sharda school of dental sciences also presented their research papers at the conference. Over 40 undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the conference that focused on providing a networking opportunity for specialists from various areas of dentistry.

The conference provided young researchers and clinicians an opportunity to present their research and innovations through oral papers, posters, and table clinics. A new method of presentation, three minute thesis (TMT) was used to teach the youth about marketing of their winning research and innovation.
The chief guest of the event was, NITI ayog, member, VK Paul. The featured speakers at the conference were- International Association for Dental Research (IADR), president, Brian O'Conell; Journal of dental sciences; Nick Jockubovis and Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), director, Marc Richard Moeller.
Speaking at the conference, Sharda school of dental sciences, dean, M Siddharth, said: "It is a proud moment for the Sharda School of Dental Sciences that our students were awarded at the conference. Also networking is important for specialists from different fields to grow and learn."
