NEW DELHI: Medical aspirants have once again started to campaign on social media demanding postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination, NEET-UG 2021, citing the clash of dates between several exams. Students have been reaching out to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone NEET-UG exams using #shiftNEETUG.

NEET aspirants also have been campaigning for the postponement of the medical entrance exam using several hashtags like #postponeNEETUG, #PleaseRescheduleNEETUG. Over the past few months, they have been continuously requesting education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and NTA to postpone, reschedule or cancel the entrance exam due to possible third wave of COVID-19 and less preparation time.
NEET 2021 is scheduled for September 12, 2021. Amid several exams scheduled in September, NEET 2021 exam date is very close to CBSE improvement exams 2021, MHT CET 2021, Karnataka’s CoMEDK exam, Odisha JEE, and MP Class 12 improvement exams etc.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet given any indication about NEET 2021 postponement. The NEET 2021 admit cards will be issued from September 9.
Requesting to postpone the medical entrance examination, the NEET-UG Students Association asked the authorities to postpone exam by at least 18-20 days. “NEET UG is the toughest exam of the country which can't be managed in such a stressful situation. Kindly take a decision to Postpone at least 18-20 days.”

Fearing the possible third wave of COVID-19, a student requested for NEET postponement and tweeted that the “Government of India is completely ignoring students concern, which is shameful.”

As per the official notice, the tentative NEET hall ticket 2021 release date is September 9. The authorities said that the NEET admit card 2021 will be released on the official website neet.nta.nic.in three days before the exam.
