Shivaji College inaugurates skill development centre for students

The skill development centre to make students confident, skilled, and socially responsible citizens to meet the challenges of the future.
Shivaji College, University of Delhi, has inaugurated a new skill development centre that will equip students with industry-relevant skills while bridging the gap between academics and employability.
Bharat Bhushan Arora, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sampark Pramukh (RSS) and Director, Udmodhya Committee, was the chief guest of the inauguration. Faculty members, students, and members of the Udmodhya Committee were also present during the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Virender Bharadwaj the principal of Shivaji College, highlighted how continuous learning and adaptability were gaining increasing significance in today's dynamic job scenario.

Thanking the University of Delhi for sanctioning Rs 8 lakh to support this initiative, he said: “We are grateful for the university’s support, which will enable us to empower our students with the skills they need to succeed.”
“The undying legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji still lives in the walls of Shivaji College. No single degree is enough to sustain you for life. Even a plumber may earn more than a coder if equipped with the right expertise,” says Bharat Bhushan Arora, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sampark Pramukh (RSS) and director, Udmodhya Committee.
The skill development centre ushers in a major milestone in the journey of Shivaji College to nurture excellence, empowerment, and holistic growth and to ensure that students turn out as confident, skilled, and socially responsible citizens to meet the challenges of the future.
“Today, I feel proud that our committee’s vision of establishing a skill centre has finally been fulfilled,” said the convenor Abha Vasal.
