SNAP Preparation Tips 2021
1. Focus on basic concepts rather than formulae
The SNAP past years’ analysis shows that a comparable number of questions are based on the core concepts of the topics. Hence, one of the SNAP exam preparation tips is to have your basic concepts clear along with their application. SNAP preparation is no different than CAT or any other MBA entrance preparation except that the difficulty level of SNAP is slightly easier.
2. Practice mental calculations
Questions from the quantitative ability, data interpretation and analytical and logical reasoning require intensive calculations. Another SNAP 2021 preparation tips suggest practising mental calculations through approximations and/ or Vedic Maths techniques can help save time. Using pen and paper every time for calculations reduces effectiveness.
3. Concentrate on Algebra & Arithmetic topics
SNAP 2021 will test your ability to crack questions based on algebra and arithmetic topics like percentages, speed and time, profit and loss, number systems, logarithms, etc. Preparation tips of SNAP by experts suggest a thorough practice of a variety of questions is required to crack this section.
4. Choose questions wisely in Analytical and Logical Reasoning section
Most of the questions of this section will be logic-based but it is important to identify which questions are tricky and which ones are not. Another SNAP exam preparation tip is to select questions wisely, do not risk negative marking. Furthermore, this section has the maximum weightage.
5. Focus more on Vocabulary & Grammar
This section tests your vocabulary more than your analyzing skill which is evident from the inclusion of more vocabulary-based questions like synonyms, antonyms, odd man out, idioms and phrases as compared to reading comprehensions (RCs). If you are struggling with this section, you need to focus on building a good vocabulary as it is a win-win situation (Good attempt-High accuracy-Less time!).
6. Take mocks, analyze and improve on weaker sections
The best way to monitor your performance is to take SNAP mocks at regular intervals. This not only helps to monitor your progress but also improves your score as it allows you to work on your weaker sections.
7. Solve previous years’ SNAP question papers
Although the chances of questions in SNAP getting repeated is almost nil, the aim here is to be well versed with the question pattern. Each entrance exam, for that matter, has a pattern or template which is unique. So the SNAP preparation tip 2021 is to solve the previous years’ SNAP papers to familiarize with the exam pattern such as sections, time duration, difficulty level, etc.
