NEW DELHI, MAY 7: SRMJEEE 2018 counselling for the B.Tech admissions across campuses for phase 1 has started on May 7 and will end on May 17. Candidates who qualified in the entrance test and have been called for counselling are required to attend the same in person as per the specified schedule mailed by the university.

Counselling will be conducted in two sessions per day - from 9 am onwards in the morning session and from 1:30 pm onwards in the afternoon session. Candidates will have be called rank wise for the sessions and have to report on time along with necessary documents at the SRM campus they have chosen as their preference. The university has recommended the candidates to plan for two-days stay as there are chances that the counselling process may not completed on the same day for any reason.

All candidates will be required to download their counselling call letter by logging to their dashboard. At the time of counselling, candidates must carry their call letter as it is an invitation to attend the counselling along with their original certificates for verification.

It is to be noted that only the receipt of counselling call letter will not ensure admission. Rather, the admission at SRM university in B.Tech programmes will be based on satisfying the eligibility criteria of the university as specified, order of ranks listed by the authorities, verification of all original certificates and other documents and payment of registration as well as tuition fees.

Candidates are required to pay the provisional allotment letter amount of Rs 2,10,000 which includes the registration fee of Rs 10,000 and part of first year tuition fee. The payment has to be made through E-Pay facility or via a Demand Draft for Rs. 2,10,000/- drawn in favour of “SRMIST” payable at Chennai to be submitted by candidates at the time of counselling. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Candidates who are allotted seats and who confirm their admissions are required to pay the balance tuition fee if any, on or before June 5, 2018, failing which the admission will stand cancelled.

The following documents have to be produced during counselling. Candidates will have to produce these documents in original along with a set of copies

  • Counseling call letter
  • SRMJEEE Rank card 2018
  • Hall ticket of the qualifying examination
  • Mark sheet of Class 10th as date of birth proof
  • Mark sheet of Class 12th or its equivalent (if results are announced)
  • Photo ID proof (PAN, Aadhar, Passport) – Original for verification, Photocopy to be submitted
  • Cancelled cheque leaf with name of the Candidate/Parent/Grand Parent printed.
  • Receipt for payment made through E-Pay facility or Demand Draft
