SSC CGL 2025 notification out today on ssc.gov.in; eligibility, vacancy trends

SSC CGL Recruitment 2025: Candidates can also fill out the application form and complete Aadhaar OTP and face authentication using the upgraded ‘mySSC app’.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will issue the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) 2025 notification today, June 9. According to the official exam calendar, candidates will be able to register for the SSC CGL 2025 till July 4, and the exam will be held from August 13 to August 30, 2025.

Eligible candidates can register for the SSC CGL 2025 through the official website at ssc.gov.in. Candidates will also be able to fill out the SSC CGL 2025 application form using the upgraded 'mySSC app'. Recently, the commission launched the new version of its mobile application to make the recruitment process more accessible, especially for aspirants in rural areas.
Candidates can also complete Aadhaar OTP and face authentication through the same app. The SSC said the mobile application works only on Android phones running version 11 or above. Before applying, candidates should install the Aadhaar Face RD app to complete the face authentication process.
The SSC CGL exam is conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to various Group B and C posts, including income tax officer, excise and customs officer, accountant, assistant audit officer, assistant section officer, junior statistical officer, among others.
To be eligible for SSC CGL 2025, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. The age limit ranges from 18 to 32 years, depending on the post. The application fee is Rs 100, while women and candidates from SC, ST, and ESM categories are exempted.
SSC CGL 2025 Notification: Vacancy trends
Last year, the commission announced that 18,174 vacancies for various posts. Out of these, 7,567 vacancies are for the unreserved (UR) category, 2,762 for scheduled caste (SC), 1,606 for scheduled tribe (ST), 4,521 for other backwards classes (OBC), and 1,718 for economically weaker sections (EWS).
