The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has announced the TN National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG seat vacancy for round 2 on the official website. The TN NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 has 4,862 MBBS and BDS seats vacant across government, self-financing (SF), ESIC and private medical and dental colleges.
According to the vacancy data, 2,960 MBBS seats and 1,902 BDS seats are available for the second round of counselling.
The vacancy figures include seats under the 92.5% and 7.5% reservation categories, covering government quota, management quota and seats in government, self-financing and private institutions.

A total of 2,960 MBBS seats are vacant for Round 2 based on the figures provided.
Among the 92.5% category, government medical colleges have 153 vacant seats, while ESIC has 4 seats. Self-financing colleges account for 2,185 seats, including 658 government quota seats and 1,527 management quota seats.
Private colleges under the 92.5% category have 593 vacant MBBS seats, with 185 seats under government quota and 408 under management quota.
Under the 7.5% category, SF colleges have 21 vacant MBBS seats, while private colleges have 2 seats. In addition, 2 seats are available in government colleges for SC and ST candidates, which do not come under any quota.
The vacancy data shows 1,902 BDS seats available for Round 2.
Government dental colleges under the 92.5% category have 82 vacant seats. SF colleges account for 1,101 seats, including 685 government quota seats and 1,101 management quota seats as listed in the provided vacancy data.
Under the 7.5% category, government dental colleges have 2 vacant seats, while SF dental colleges have 32 seats.

As per the schedule, the Tamil Nadu NEET UG round 2 choice filling and locking can be done from September 9 to September 13, 2026, up to 2 pm. The TN NEET UG seat allotment processing will be held on September 14, while the round 2 provisional allotment result will be published on September 15, 2026.
Candidates can download their provisional allotment orders from September 15 to September 18, up to 3 pm, and the last date to join the allotted college is September 18, 2026, by 5 pm.
