Telangana NEET UG admissions 2025
Recently, the Supreme Court reserved its verdict on the Telangana four-year domicile rule for medical and dental admissions. The state government rule stated that the state quota reservation will be for students who have studied in Telangana for the last four years. The Telangana High Court ruled that the state’s permanent residents should not be denied the benefits of reservation because of residing in another state for four years.
The Supreme Court had stayed an HC order last year, directing that permanent residents, or candidates who had Telangana domicile, could not be denied admission to medical colleges. The state government agreed to grant an exception to 135 students in 2024.
