TISSNET Cancelled: Tata Institute of Social Sciences will hold admission to two MA courses through CAT, others through CUET PG 2024.
NEW DELHI : The Tata Institute of Social Sciences has decided to offer admission to all its postgraduate programmes, except two, through the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2024. The admission to the two other courses – MA in human resource management and labour relations andMA in organisation development, change and leadership will be based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores. This means that TISSNET 2024 has been cancelled.
The institute took the decision in compliance with the mandate of the Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission to conduct CUET for admission to postgraduate programmes in central, state, and other participating universities. The institute mentioned that the CUET PG exam provides a single-window opportunity to all postgraduate aspirants.
“The CUET (PG) provides a single- window opportunity for all Postgraduate students seeking admission to any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organisations, including State Universities, Deemed to be Universities, and Private Universities across the country,” said TISS registrar in an official notice.
“In compliance with the above, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), has decided that admission for the forthcoming Academic Session 2024-25 for all its Postgraduate Programmes will be based on the CUET (PG)-2024 scores, except for the following programmes, which will consider CAT scores,” it added.
The institute further said that the additional details, updates, and notification will be available soon on the admission website, admissions.tiss.edu.
“TISS does not assume responsibility for any information provided by sources other than the Institute website and the Admissions Helpline,” the notice read.
