Join Careers360 PremiumNEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Medical Recruitment Board (TN MRB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of various Assistant Surgeon (general) vacancies. Interested candidates will be able to apply for TN MRB recruitment 2024 through the official website, mrb.tn.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the TN TRB assistant surgeon application window from April 24, 2024. The last date to apply for TN MRB recruitment 2024 till May 15.
The TN MRB recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 2,553 assistant surgeon vacancies in the department. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Tamil Langauge eligibility test, and computer-based test.

Candidates belonging to general category have to pay Rs 1,000 as TN MRB application fees. While, SC, SCA, ST, DAP(PH) category candidates will pay the TN MRB application fee of Rs 500.
TN MRB Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Interested candidate should have an MBBS degree from a recognised university or institute. Candidate should have served as House Surgeon (CRRI) for not less than 12 months. Candidate should be a registered practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914 and must have registered their name in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council on or before the last date of this notification.
Candidates should be up to 37 years as on July 1, 2024. However upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
- SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DNCs, BCs, BCMs (including Ex-Servicemen belonging to these categories): 59 years
- Others: 37 years
- Differently abled candidate to others: 47 years
- Ex-Servicemen belonging to others: 50 years
