The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranks these institutes according to several criteria, such as research, teaching, and placements.

The registration process for the MHT CET 2025 is underway and the last date to register for the exam is today, February 27. The CET cell will conduct the MHT CET 2025 for the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) group from April 9 to 17, except on April 10 and 14. The exam for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group is scheduled from April 19 to 27, with no exam on April 24.
To get admission into engineering colleges based on MHT CET score, candidates will have to qualify MHT CET exam can get a valid MHT CET score. Candidates will then have to register for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds for seat allotment. Seat availability, category-specific cut-offs, and MHT CET scores will all be taken into consideration for allocating seats.
Apart from the MHT CET, several other entrance exams, such as the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) and Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced), also allow engineering aspirants to secure admission to government or private engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
