TS PGECET Counselling 2024: Web options entry rescheduled to September 2; reservation criteria

NEW DELHI: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has extended the Web options entry dates for the Telangana State Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2024 counselling. Candidates can now exercise the web option entry from September 2 through the official website, pgecetadm.tsche.ac.in.

Candidates can fill out their preferred courses and institutes till September 3. The institute will open the web option edit window for one day on September 4. The TS PGECET 2024 seat allotment result will be announced after the choice-filling process. Seats will be allocated based on the candidates' ranks, and applicants should make their selections according to their preferences.
“While exercising options all the eligible colleges and courses are displayed for selection based on the test paper written in the GATE / GPAT / TG PGECET examinations, qualifying degree and specialization. The candidates who have appeared and qualified in multiple test papers of GATE/TG PGECET are required to exercise options on the single Hall Ticket Numbers only on which they have registered,” the official notice read.
As per the revised schedule, the list of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared college-wise and published on the website on September 8, 2024. Candidates are required to report to their respective colleges for verification of original certificates and submit the tuition fee payment receipt, if applicable, between September 9 and September 12, 2024. Classes will commence on September 9, 2024.

Candidates can check the reservation criteria for the TS PGECET 2024 counselling 2024 given below.

In Telangana State's affiliated colleges, 85% of seats in the convener quota are reserved for local candidates, with 15% being unreserved.

The convener TG PGECET-2024 admissions will fill 100% of seats in University Colleges and 70% in unaided, non-minority, and minority professional institutions.

Non-local candidates are eligible only for the 15% unreserved seats, while local candidates can access both the 15% unreserved and 85% reserved seats.
