TSICET application begins on March 6

New Delhi, Feb 22: Kaktiya University Warangal, on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE), has released TSICET 2018 notification for MBA and MCA admissions 2018-19 on February 22, 2018. In a first, Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test 2018 will be conducted in computer based mode in a two day window on May 23 and 24, 2018. The computer based test will be held in two slots, from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The application process will commence from March 6, 2018 and the last date to fill form without late fee is April 30, 2018.

More than 750 B-schools of Telangana accept TSICET scores for about 23,000 seats available in their management programmes. Last year, more than 70,000 candidates appeared for the exam.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in TSICET 2018 are as follows:

a) The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Telangana State Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order.

b) The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned

c) The candidates seeking admission to MBA should have passed recognised Bachelor’s Degree Examination of minimum three years duration except Oriental Languages. For those seeking admission to MCA programmes, Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration (except Oriental Languages) with Mathematics at 10+2 level is required.

d) The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB.

e) The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for TSICET-2018.

f) Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies. g) Qualifying marks in TSICET-2018 is 25 percent and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

Application Process

Applicants will have to fill and submit the application form in online mode only. The application fee for General and NC-OBC candidates is Rs. 650 and for SC, ST candidates, the fee is Rs. 450.

The TSICET-2018 examination will be held at 16 Regional Online Test Centers in Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh. The cities where exam centres will be located are Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kodad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Narsapur-Medak, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Warangal, Kurnool, Tirupati, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.

TSICET exam pattern

The duration of the test will be two and half hours. There will be three sections, Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability.
