The deadline for completion of master’s degree for December 2018 UGC-NET candidates has been extended to June 30, 2022. Whereas, the June 2019 UGC-NET students can finish their degree by December 31, 2022, as per a notice issued by the UGC .
The UGC took this decision in favour of some students who had qualified the December 2018 and June 2019 UGC-NET or JOINT CSIR-UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) under the UGC scheme, but could not complete their master’s degree as universities delayed conducting exams or declaration of results due to COVID-19 situation.
