NTA will close the UGC NET June 2026 application window today. Candidates can edit forms from May 22 to 24
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 today, May 20, 2026. Applicants can fill out the UGC NET registration form on the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Candidates belonging to the General/Unreserved category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,150 for the UGC NET examination. The fee has been set at Rs 600 for applicants from the Gen-EWS and OBC-NCL categories, while SC, ST, PwD, PwBD and third gender candidates will have to pay Rs 325.
The correction window for the application form will remain open from May 22 to May 24, 2026. Candidates will be able to download their exam city intimation slip by June 10, 2026, while the admit cards will be issued on June 15, 2026. The UGC NET 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted between June 22 and June 30, 2026.

Candidates can complete the application process by following the steps outlined below:
- Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- On the home page, click on the UGC NET June exam 2026 registration link
- Enter the registration details and then fill out the form
- Upload the documents, make the payment and then submit
- Download the confirmation page and take a printout of the same for further need
UGC NET June 2026: Exam pattern
The UGC NET examination will comprise two papers containing objective-type multiple-choice questions. Both papers will be conducted in a single session without any interval. Paper I will carry 100 marks, while Paper II will be of 200 marks. Candidates will be given a total duration of three hours to complete the exam. Except for language subjects, the question paper will be available only in English and Hindi.
