NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 results for the June session soon. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to download the UGC NET result 2024 through the UGC NET official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Along with the UGC NET June 2024 result, NTA will issue the UGC NET final answer key 2024 and UGC NET cut-off 2024.
Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as application number and date of birth to download the UGC NET result June 2024. Over 9 lakh students who appeared for the exam are awaiting the results.
The UGC NET June 2024 examination was conducted from August 21 to September 4, 2024, at various centres across the country. The examination was held in two shifts: shift 1 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Candidates belonging to general or unreserved category must score at least 40 per cent marks to pass the exam. While those belonging to the reserved category must score a minimum of 35 per cent marks to clear the UGC NET June session exam.

UGC NET provisional answer key 2024 for all exam dates was issued, and candidates were allowed to raise objections against it till September 14, 2024.
Candidates belonging to general or unreserved category must score at least 40 per cent marks to pass the exam. While those belonging to the reserved category must score a minimum of 35 per cent marks to clear the UGC NET June session exam.

Candidates who qualify UGC NET June 2024 session exam will receive two types of certificates - Certificate for Lectureship (LS) and Certificate for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The JRF certificate is valid for three years from the result date, while the LS certificate remains valid for lifetime.
According to the marking scheme, candidates will receive two marks for each correct answer. Questions that are unanswered will receive zero marks, and there will be no deductions for incorrect answers. Additionally, if a question is removed from the final answer key, candidates who attempted that question will be awarded two marks.
There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for the UGC NET exam. Candidates have the freedom to apply and take the exam as many times as they wish.
