UP Assembly Election 2022: The BJP manifesto said that free scooters will be given to meritorious girl students.

NEW DELHI: With two days left until UP Elections 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised to make education accessible in the state and said it will offer 2 crore tablets and smartphones and provide free coaching for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), National Defence Academy (NDA) if voted to power.
The BJP released its manifesto or “sankalp patra” for the UP assembly polls 2022 on Tuesday. Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah, CM Yogi Adityanath and other leaders of the party released the manifesto during a press conference today.

The key promises of BJP include free coaching to UPSC, UPPSC, NDA aspirants; distribution of 2 crore tablets and smartphones, distribution of free scooters to girl students, upgradation of sports infrastructure of all government schools and colleges.
Further, the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared a resolution on education on Twitter. “Our resolution towards accessible education for the coming 5 years…” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has analysed the educational backgrounds along with other details of the 615 candidates out of 623 contesting in the elections. According to the ADR report, 15 candidates are illiterate while 10 have just passed Class 5.
Uttar Pradesh will go to poll in seven phases from February 10 to March 7, 2022.
