UP NEET PG counselling 2024 registration for round 3 ends today; NBE to revise state merit list

NEW DELHI: The Director General Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh will close the UP NEET PG counselling registration for round 3 today. Candidates who are eligible after the NEET PG cut-off reduction will have to submit their application through the official website, upneet.gov.in, to participate in the state counselling for MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB courses.

The UP NEET PG round 3 registration portal has been reopened to allow candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling due to lowering of the cut-off percentile by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). As per the NEET PG revised cut-off, general category candidates having 15 percentile or more and SC, ST, OBC, and PwD having 10 percentile or above will be considered for admission.

Candidates who have already registered for counselling, do not need to re-register. “The list of all registered candidates will be sent to NBMES, New Delhi for preparing the state specific merit list, in which the state rank in the merit list of the already registered candidates can be changed,” the counselling committee said. A total of 8,059 candidates were allotted state rank, as per the UP NEET PG state merit list issued by the NBEMS earlier.

Eligible candidates will have to register through the official portal, upneet.gov.in, by paying a registration fee of Rs 3,000 for MD, MS, Diploma and DNB courses in the government medical college. Those who have already registered for the counselling need not pay the application fee again. However, all candidates will have to pay for taking part in the stray vacancy round.

Aspirants seeking admission in government medical and dental colleges will have to pay Rs 30,000 and those seeking admission in both government and private medical colleges will have to pay Rs 2 lakh as security amount. Candidates who wish to pursue masters in dental colleges will have to pay Rs 1 lakh for a seat in government or private quota.

UP NEET PG Admission 2025

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed their one year of compulsory rotatory internship on or before by June 30 for MDS and August 15, 2024, will be considered for MD, MS, Diploma, DNB courses.

Candidates who have passed MBBS and BDS courses from the government and private medical and dental colleges in UP are eligible for government state quota seats and private medical college seats.

Those who have passed MBBS and BDS from “AMU, Aligarh, BHU, Varanasi and AIIMS Raebareli, Gorakhpur are not eligible for admission in government state quota seats”. Such candidates will be considered only for admission in private colleges.
