Check NowThe Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a public advisory warning students and parents who appeared in the 2026 high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examination about potential cyber fraud attempts, cautioning on the basis of past experience that cyber criminals may try to exploit candidates through misleading phone calls, messages, or emails.
As per the notice issued by the board, fraudsters may directly contact students, seek their examination details, and offer to increase marks in exchange for money. In some cases, they may falsely claim to have access to the board’s database and impersonate officials by using fake identities, thereby attempting to gain the trust of candidates and their families.
UPMSP emphasised that it does not contact students individually regarding marks or result-related matters. It urged candidates and guardians to remain vigilant and not fall prey to such fraudulent schemes.

The Uttar Pradesh Board further stated that, in coordination with the state police, strict action will be taken against individuals involved in such cyber crimes. Offenders will be prosecuted under relevant provisions of the Information Technology (IT) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
As part of the advisory, students and parents have been urged to follow these precautions:
-
Do not respond to suspicious phone calls, messages, or emails, as the board never contacts candidates personally.
-
Avoid sharing personal information such as roll numbers, bank details, or other sensitive data with unknown individuals.
-
In case of such incidents, record the details and immediately inform the district inspector of schools (DIOS) or report it on the cyber helpline number 1930.
The board reiterated that awareness and caution are essential to prevent such incidents and ensure a safe and fair examination process for all candidates.
