UPPRPB to hold offline exam for recruitment of SI, ASI posts

UP Police recruitment notification for 19,920 constable and 4,543 SI posts will be issued by April-end on uppbpb.gov.in.
NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has decided to conduct an objective-type offline examination instead of online for the direct recruitment of posts of sub-inspector (confidential), police assistant sub inspector (clerk) and assistant police sub-inspector (accounts).
“Therefore, the written examination provided in clause – 4.1 of the notification dated 28/12/2023 of this recruitment should be read as an objective type “offline” examination instead of an objective type “online” examination,” said UPPRPB in a post on social media platform X.
The recruitment board also informed that a total of 19,220 vacancies have been notified for the direction recruitment of constable including constable level PAC (9,837 posts), constable UP Special Security Force (1,341 posts), constable PAC women Bandayu, Gorakhpur, Lucknow women battalion (2,282 posts), constable civil police (3,245 posts), constable PAC or Armed Police (2,444 posts), constable mounted police (71 posts).
Moreover, a total of 4,543 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) have been received from the Headquarters, Director General of Police, UP, the board said. The vacancies include 4,242 posts of Sub Inspector Civil Police, 106 posts of Sub Inspector Civil Police (Women )( PC) Bandayu / Gorakhpur / Lucknow, 135 posts of Platoon Commander / UN SP, and 60 posts of Sub Inspector or Platoon Commander (Special Security Force).
UP Police SI, constable recruitment notification will be issued by April-end on the official website, uppbpb.gov.in.
Recently, UPPRPB declared the final UP Police constable result for the direct recruitment of 60,244 posts of Constable civil police.
