NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 26: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conduct the preliminary exam of UPPSC on October 28. The exam will be held offline across multiple centres in 29 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The examination will be conducted in two sessions - morning session (9:30 am to 11:30 am) and afternoon session (2:30 pm to 4:30 pm).
UPPSC admit card 2018 was released on October 12. Candidates can access their admit card by entering registration numbers, date of births and genders. The admit card has been issued to only those candidates whose applications have been accepted by the examination authority. Candidates will have to carry two passport size photographs and a photo identity proof along with the admit card to the examination centre.
According to UPPSC exam pattern, the preliminary exam has two papers – Paper 1 and 2. Both the papers will carry objective type questions. Maximum marks allotted to the test is 200. Each paper will be held for 2 hours. As per the marking scheme, 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
UPPSC 2018 result of preliminary exam will be declared in December. To be eligible for the next round of selection process, candidates have to secure the prescribed cutoff. Based on UPPSC result of preliminary exam, candidates 18 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the mains exam. This means, approximately 16632 candidates will be selected for the mains examination as total number of vacancies is 924. Paper 2 of UPPSC is qualifying in nature. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in Paper 1.
UPPSC is conducting the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Provincial Civil Services (P.C.S) and Assistant Conservator of Forest (A.C.F.) / Range Forest Officer (R.F.O.) services examination for recruitment to the various posts like Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Statistical Officer etc.
