CDS 2 2026 exam to be held in three shifts; English, GK and Mathematics papers scheduled on September 13
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) 2 2026 exam timetable. The commission will conduct the CDS 2 on September 13, 2026 (Sunday). The examination will be held in three shifts on the same day, with candidates required to follow Indian Standard Time (IST).

UPSC CDS 2 2026 exam timetable
According to the CDS 2 2026 timetable, the English paper will be conducted from 9 am to 11 am, followed by the general knowledge paper from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The elementary mathematics paper will be held in the third shift from 4 pm to 6 pm.

The UPSC CDS 2 examination will be conducted according to the schedule specified by the commission. Candidates should reach their respective examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards.
The CDS examination is conducted by UPSC for recruitment to various officer-level posts in the Indian Armed Forces. The selection process includes the written examination followed by the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview for candidates who qualify the written test. The final selection is subject to meeting the prescribed eligibility, medical and other requirements.
