NEW DELHI: Major exams in the country including civil services exam, CA exams, state engineering tests have been impacted due to the Lok Sabha general elections 2024. The upcoming elections spanning from April 6 to June 1 have resulted in alteration of exam dates at school as well as higher education level.
ICAI and even University Grants Commission (UGC) chief M Jagadesh had already said before the announcement of election dates that the CA and CUET exam dates may be revised.
The rescheduling of CA exams 2024 didn’t go well amongst the aspirants who are now demanding postponement of CA Inter, Final exams 2024 further after the elections so that they are able to exercise their voting rights.
However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) reportedly refused to change its decision about the three national entrance exams – Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 , National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024, and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 even though the exams will be held amid the elections.
