UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2026: General and EWS category candidates must be 35 years of age, OBC candidates 38, and SC, ST applicants 40 years to apply for the positions.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs) within the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Eligible candidates will be able to apply for various positions from August 22 to September 11, 2026 through the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The commission will fill a total of 80 vacancies in the organisation. While 29 posts are reserved for the generate category, 9 for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 18 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 15 for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, and 10 for the Scheduled Tribe (ST).
As per the eligibility criteria, general and EWS category candidates must be 35 years of age, OBC candidates 38, and SC, ST applicants 40 years to apply for the positions.
Notably, those with disabilities will be given 10-year age relaxation.
“In the event of any discrepancy between the indicative advertisement and the detailed advertisement, the version provided in the detailed advertisement uploaded on the Commission's website shall prevail, unless a corrigendum is published,” the official notification read.
The selection process for the EPFO recruitment includes a recruitment test and interview.

The commission further stated that the crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for submission of online application.
