UPSC ESE mains 2026 time table released; exam on June 21

UPSC ESE Mains 2026 will be conducted on June 21 in two shifts. Admit card is expected to be released on June 14.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Engineering Services Main Examination (ESE) schedule. Aspirants who will be appearing for the Mains exam can now check the timetable. It has been published on the official website, upsc.gov.in, and can be downloaded by following the steps mentioned below.
First shift (9am to 12 noon)- Civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics & telecommunication engineering (paper I).
Second shift (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)- Civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics & telecommunication engineering (paper II).

How to check UPSC ESE time table 2026
- One should go to the official website upsc.gov.in
- On homepage, they should look for 'what's new' section
- Click on 'Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2026'
- The time-table will appear on screen
- Go through the same and download it
- Take its printout for future references
Only those who have passed the prelims exam are eligible to appear in the mains exam. UPSC engineering main exam will be conducted on June 21, in two shifts- first shift will be conducted between 9 am and 12 noon and the second shift will be conducted between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
As per the official notice, the admit cards for ESE Main exam will be made available on UPSC website around one week ahead of exam. To download the hall tickets, candidates will have to log in through the official portal using application number and password/date of birth.
UPSC has stated that the marks and cut-off scores for the engineering services preliminary examination have not been disclosed at this stage. These details will be published on the official website only after the full examination process is completed, including the main examination and the personality test.
