UPSC IES/ISS 2026: Application process for personality test starts; steps to apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the application window for applicants who have qualified the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination 2026 written exam. Through this process, candidates can update details on the application form for the personality test/interview.

The last date to submit the updated application form is August 25, 2026 till 6 pm. The window will remain open for 15 days, which gives enough time for applicants to submit their updated form. After the deadline, no requests will be entertained.

The IES and ISS exam was conducted from June 19 to June 21, 2026, and the result was out on August 4, 2026 on the official website of UPSC upsconline.nic.in. As per the official notice, the final submission of the application form is compulsory for all qualified applicants, even if no changes are required.

• Visit the official website of UPSC at upsconline.nic.in
• Login using the credentials to find the form
• Enter the updates, upload the required certificates/documents and then submit
• Download the submitted application form and take a printout for future reference

• Correspondence and permanent postal address
• Educational qualifications and qualification status
• Higher educational qualifications
• Achievements in different fields
• Employment details and service experience
• Details of any service allocated through an earlier IES/ISS examination
• Marital status
• PwBD recommendation details, wherever applicable
• Parental details
• Debarment information
• Earlier examination details
• OBC/EWS annexures, wherever applicable
• Socio-economic questionnaire
• Other applicable information and supporting documents

The official notice reads, "The candidates will be solely responsible for not producing sufficient proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualification, community (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and physical disability certificate (in the case of PwBD candidates). In case any of the written qualified candidate fails to bring any or all the required original documents in support of his/her candidature for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2026, he/she will not be allowed to present himself/herself before the PT Board and no TA will be allowed.“
