Download nowNEET PG 2025 Counselling: Uttarakhand’s Rs 2.5-crore bond penalty for violating the mandatory two-year government service will remain among the highest in the country. Postgraduate medical education in Uttarakhand is also India’s most expensive, with PG fees for MD Radiodiagnosis, MS Obstetrics and Gynecology, MS Orthopedics ranging nearly Rs 1 crore.
The Uttarakhand NEET PG counselling 2025 registration began on November 6, and the choice filling was scheduled to begin on November 21 on the official website, hnbumu.ac.in. HNB Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun will also host the final seat matrix for round 1 counselling today.
According to the fee structure approved by the state government, PG students enrolled in government medical colleges will have to pay Rs 60,000 per year for MD, MS courses if they are signing the mandatory rural-service bond, and Rs 5 lakh per year if they opt out.
Uttarakhand NEET PG bond policy
As per the Uttarakhand NEET PG bond policy, students must serve two years in any government hospital or health centre in a hilly region, failing which they must pay a penalty of Rs 2.5 crore.
Candidates should submit the bond on stamp paper and have it signed by two sureties. Defaulting on the mandatory two-year service bond, discontinuing the MD, MS course, or remaining absent from duty will result in penalties from the candidates.
The government order states that default “may be considered as professional misconduct” and the case may be reported to the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the state medical council for action, including potential cancellation of registration.

Uttarakhand: SGRR PG medical fees 2025
Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute Of Medical and Health Sciences, Dehradun has announced the fee structure for the academic year 2025-26. According to which, a three-year MD Radiodiagnosis at the institute will cost Rs 96 lakh.

HIMS Dehradun PG medical fees
The Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, has also notified the PG tuition fees for 2025-26. Three-year MD course fees will range from Rs 37 lakh to Rs 90 lakh. Additional costs — including admission test, hostel, security fees, other charges — will exceed Rs 8 lakh, bringing the total cost for some MS Orthopedics, MS Obstetrics and Gynecology, MD Radiodiagnosis to close to Rs 1 crore.

Additional charges at HIMS Dehradun
As per the admission policy, 30% seats in each programme are reserved for permanent residents of Uttarakhand and 25% tuition fee rebate applies to eligible Uttarakhand domicile students admitted under the resident quota.
