Virtual admission fair to be held for students amid COVID-19

NEW DELHI: Even education fairs are going online due to COVID-19. From July 17 to 19, an education fair organising firm will hold a “virtual fair” for students seeking admission to colleges.

Now that many of the school boards, CBSE and ICSE have declared their Class 12 results, students are seeking admission a well as careers counselling.

The virtual fair, conducted by AFAIRS, an education fair organiser, will provide students with career counselling sessions and help choose higher education institutes from the safety of their homes.

Interested students and parents will be able to browse through information on colleges and universities free of cost.

Students participating in the fair will be able to attend career-related webinars and speak directly to the admissions offices of institutes on a video call, WhatsApp or a phone call.

The web portal will give access to all relevant information on campus, courses, faculties, recognitions, fees to choose an institute.

In addition, the portal has partnered with QS I-GAUGE -- an Indian college and university rating system to help students make informed choices.

Several private universities including Amity University, O P Jindal Global University, Manav Rachna University, G. D. Goenka University, Noida International University, Rishihood University, Manipal University -Dubai will be participating in the virtual admission fair.
