VIT Vellore hosts third edition of ‘Industry-Academia Networking Conclave 2025’

IANC 2025: The event, with the theme "ReVITalization for a Sustainable Future," is being held in collaboration with VIT Vellore’s career development centre.
NEW DELHI: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Vellore hosted the inaugural ceremony for the third edition of Industry-Academia Networking Conclave (IANC). The IANC 2025 is being held in association with the career development centre at VIT Vellore. The IANC 2025 event aimed to enhance industry-academia collaboration by fostering discussions on technological advancements, sustainability, and curriculum enhancement.
The theme for IANC 2025 is 'ReVITalization for a Sustainable Future.' The conclave features four panel discussions and 22 plenary talks focusing on topics such as aviation technologies, carbon neutrality, circular economy, climate change, green energy technologies, smart mobility, and sustainable healthcare systems. Industry experts engaged with students and faculty to discuss future industry trends and challenges.
IANC 2025: Students' participation
Companies including Honeywell, Saint-Gobain, Trane Technologies, GKN Aerospace, Forbes Marshall, Schneider Electric, Blue Star, AUTODESK, and Guerin Tech have provided problem statements for students to tackle. More than 700 students have registered for these technical challenges. Winners will receive a monetary prize of Rs 7.85 lakh, along with internship opportunities from participating organizations. Additionally, 125 MSMEs attended the event to explore potential collaborations and observe the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) directives at VIT .
Scholarship initiative by Volvo India
The Volvo Group India CSR Trust awarded a four-year scholarship to a female student pursuing a BTech in mechanical engineering under the ‘Volvo Group Educational Scholarship Programme.’ GV Rao from Volvo Group handed over the cheque to the recipient.
IANC 2025: Panel discussions and guests
The IANC 2025 conclave includes discussions on various topics, such as:
- ESG, inclusiveness, equity, and sustainability in MNCs, MSMEs, and SMEs.
- The role of smart technologies in building a sustainable future.
- Women leaders as architects of global equity and inspiring the next generation.
- Redefining quality higher education through industry-academia partnerships.
The IANC 2025 inaugural function was attended by key industry leaders, including Mathan Raj, senior vice-president of Mahindra Research Valley, and Robello Samuel, chief technical officer of Halliburton USA, as the chief guest and guest of honour.
The IANC 2025 event was graced by VIT chancellor G Viswanathan, executive director Sandhya Pentareddy, pro-vice chancellor Partha Sharathi Mallick, and registrar T Jayabharathi.
The conclave continues over the next three days with discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration between industry and academia to address emerging technological and sustainability challenges.
