WBCHSE Class 12 Exams 2022: West Bengal board may again revise HS exam schedule; here's why

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) may reschedule West Bengal HSE (Higher Secondary Examinations) 2022 due to by-elections to Asansol Lok Sabha seat and Ballygunge assembly constituency, chief minister Mamata Banerjee said. The WB higher secondary exams 2022 are scheduled to be conducted from April 2 to 26, while the by-polls will be held on April 12 and votes will be counted on April 16.

"Higher Secondary Examinations are approaching but the by-election dates are coinciding with the exams. There may be a change in the dates of the examinations. Let me see, I will have a discussion on it," Banerjee said during an interaction with 391 students who have recently returned from war-torn Ukraine, the PTI reported.

Recently, the WBCHSE revised the West Bengal Class 12 exam date 2022 to avoid a clash with Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 dates. As per the WBCHSE exam routine 2022, the West Bengal Board Class 12 exams were scheduled to be held from April 2 to 20. With the revision of the schedule, the WBBSE 12th exam will conclude on April 26 instead of April 20.

On March 8, the West Bengal board released the revised Class 12 timetable. However, less than a week later, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on March 14 had rescheduled JEE Main 2022 exam dates due to a clash with many board exam 2022 dates. As per the revised schedule, the JEE Main 2022 new dates for session 1 is April 21 to May 4, 2022.

The West Bengal chief minister has now hinted at rescheduling West Bengal HS Exam 2022 again. Students are therefore advised to visit the WBCHSE official website, wbchse.nic.in, for the latest update on the West Bengal HS exam 2022 routine.
