Use NowHailing the Supreme Court verdict directing NBEMS to conduct the NEET PG 2025 exam in single shift, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) congratulated the medical aspirants, resident students and interns for their triumph against the NBEMS’s move to conduct the NEET PG in two shifts.
The apex court, today, directed the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) in a single shift to avoid “unfair, unjust, and biased” medical entrance test. The national-level entrance exam is held for admission to MD, MS, and PG diploma courses.
Stating that the single-shift exam allows a transparent and level playing field for all candidates, the doctors said: “This judgment is a testament to the importance of justice in the academic sphere. The Court recognized that holding NEET-PG in multiple shifts creates inherent arbitrariness, and we are grateful for this strong stand.”
It also expressed gratitude to all the State Resident Doctors Associations (RDAs) and Junior Doctors Associations (JDAs) across the nation “who stood firm, raised their voices unanimously, and united for this cause,” the FAIMA wrote on its official X account.
