West Bengal board begins registration for JECA 2026 for admission to MCA; exam in June

WBJEEB JECA 2026: General category candidates can register for the WBJEEB JECA 2026 by paying a requisite fee of Rs 500, while third gender, SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates should have to pay Rs 400.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has opened the registration for the JECA 2026 for admission to the Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme. Eligible candidates can register for the JECA 2026 through the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
The WB board has advised candidates to enter their registration details carefully because once the information regarding name, father’s name, mother’s name, domicile and date of birth, are entered and submitted, this information cannot be changed/modified/edited under any circumstances.
General category candidates can register for the WBJEEB JECA 2026 by paying a requisite fee of Rs 500, while third gender, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates should have to pay Rs 400 as registration charges.
The board will conduct the OMR-based JECA 2026 for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) for the academic session 2026-27 at universities, government institutes, as well as self-financing institutes in West Bengal.

JECA 2026 Registration: Marking scheme, syllabus
The college entrance test JECA 2026 will be conducted on June 14 in a single shift from 11 am to 1 pm.
The JECA 2026 question paper will contain Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with four answer options. The exam will be held for a duration of two hours and the language of the paper will be in English.
As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer, while 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong response. No marks will be given for unanswered questions.
“For any combination of more than one option, even if it contains the correct option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -¼ (negative 25%) marks,” as per the official brochure.
The WB board will prepare merit ranks on the basis of candidate’s scores in the JECA 2026 exam.
The syllabus of the JECA 2026 exam is based on the UG Computer Applications and equivalent courses offered at various universities across the country. The questions will be based on topics such as C programming, object oriented programming, unix, data structure, operating system, computer network. database management system, software engineering, and machine learning.
