The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, announced the Class 12 results for over 18 lakh students today. Students had to secure minimum 33 percent marks in theory and practical exams separately. Those who failed to secure passing marks in even one subject, will have to appear in the compartment or improvement examination scheduled for July 15. CBSE class 12 result 2026 LIVE updates.

Along with marks and grades, CBSE also mentions abbreviations and short forms on scorecards, including “RT”, “COMP”, “ABST”, and “RW”. In CBSE results, RT stands for “Repeat Theory”. It means that a student has not passed the theory examination in a particular subject. He/she has to reappear for just theory exam and not the practical.
