IISER Bhopal organises financial literacy session for female ground-level workers
IISER Bhopal's women welfare committee held a financial literacy workshop for women ground-level workers in areas such as horticulture, housekeeping, etc.

NEW DELHI: On the occasion for Women's day 2023, the Women welfare committee (WWC) at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER-B) orgainsed a financial literacy session for female ground-level workers in areas such as horticulture, housekeeping, security.
The workshop session was conducted by India Post Payments Bank, senior manager, Pankaj Rai, Senior Manager, Pankaj Rai. The participants were made aware of various beneficial schemes such as Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna, PMSY, IPPB Accidental and life insurance Plan, Ippb Savings account, Direct benefit transfer Schemes, Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme, Ladli Laxmi Yojna, Aayushman Bharat Scheme, Health Insurance Scheme, Awareness on banking fraud, Post Office RD/MIS, among others.
The session also included a drawing session the children of the ground level workers aged 12 years and below. The kids were provided with stationery kits and were encouraged to express themselves more in the form of art. In addition to this, the participants were also educated on the importance of drinking clean water and were given hot and cold water bottles.
WWC in collaboration with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) will also be conducting a half-day workshop on 'Mental Health in Academia' which will be conducted by O.P. Jindal University, Jindal School of Psychology and counselling, assistant professor, Arpita Gupta, on March 25, 2023.
