Woxsen University hosts national excellence awards ceremony 2022 on Hyderabad campus
Students received awards under three categories: National awards for excellence in UG architectural thesis, PG thesis and documentation of architectural heritage

NEW DELHI : Woxsen University's Council of Architecture (CoA) hosted the National Excellence Awards ceremony 2022 on the Hyderabad campus. Architecture students of the college were awarded in three categories- National awards for excellence in UG architectural thesis, PG architectural thesis and documentation of architectural heritage.
A statement from the university said that the awards distributed by CoA to architecture students hold immense importance in the country. The awards are aimed at encouraging and motivating the students to pursue excellence in architecture, gain exposure and contribute to industry's growth, it added.

CoA president Habeeb Khan; executive member of CoA P Vaitianadin; director of CoA training and research centre Jayshree Deshpande; and CoA registrar RK Oberoi were also present during the awards ceremony.
On the occasion, the students pursuing Bachelor's in Architecture (BArch) at Woxsen University also indulged in discussions with the architects and saw presentations of top 10 entries in the country.
10 UG students of BArch and 10 postgraduate (PG) students presented their thesis on 3 categories of architectural documentation for this year's awards. They addressed socio-climatic issues such as slums towards inclusive and sustainable development, architecture for community revitalization in Kerala, architecture and asylum and various other topics.
CoA president Habeeb Khan said: "My term began with the CoA national student awards for excellence in 2018 and will close with this, of 2022. This shows the importance of the event in my calendar, year after year. I visited Woxsen a couple of weeks ago and was immediately sure that if this grand competition and award ceremony could happen anywhere, it would be in Woxsen.”
