NEW DELHI: The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) will be held tomorrow, February 5. AIBE XVII exam will be held in offline mode. The AIBE 2023 exam will be held as a national-level entrance exam to award the candidates with certificates of practice (COP) to enable them to practice in a court of law in India. In addition to the AIBE 17 hall ticket, candidates will also be allowed to carry copies of Bare Acts and downloaded copies of Acts without notes.

A statement on the said: “Candidates will also be allowed to carry copies of Bare Acts and downloaded copies of Acts without notes but if such copies are not available then copies of bare acts with short notes/least notes will be allowed on the basis of prayer by some candidates.”

AIBE admit card guidelines

  • Candidates are required to carry the AIBE 17 admit card along with one Photo ID proof to their respective examination centre. Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. AIBE XVII admit card website is --

  • Candidates should report at their respective examination centre by 8:30 am, not entry will be allowed after 10:15 am.

  • Candidates are allowed to carry only Bare Acts without notes and comments inside the examination centre.

For candidates with disabilities, the exam conducting body has prescribed certain guidelines. These are:

  • In case of more than 50 per cent disability, 20 minutes extra time per hour will be allowed to the candidate. Candidates have been asked to submit a certified copy of their disability certificates to the invigilator to avail the extra time.

  • In case of any disability, which prevents a candidate from writing the exam himself, then the scribe should preferably be a Class 10th or 12th student (not from Humanities) and such scribe shall be required to carry their school identity card, age and address proof -- Aadhar Card. No scribe shall be provided by the Examination Center.

AIBE 2023 answer key, OMR sheet guidelines

  • All markings on the AIBE 17 answer sheet must be with blue or black ball point pen only. Using a pencil for marking on the AIBE 2022 exam answer sheet will lead to disqualification from the exam.

  • Candidate should enter the AIBE 17 roll number on the answer sheet as it is mentioned on the AIBE XVII admit card and fill in the respective ovals. Any mismatch would lead to disqualification.

  • Candidate should fill the AIBE question booklet set code and AIBE roll number and all other necessary information correctly on the answer sheet.
