The AICTE said the Association of Indian Universities has accorded equivalence to Class 10 and 12 board examination of the BSB.
NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recognised the Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB) and a pan India school education board. The accreditation body has directed the engineering and technical colleges approved by it to consider BSB as a pan India school education board.
The AICTE said the Bhartiya Shiksha Board was established under the Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan (MRVVP) on March 9, 2O19. It has also been approved by the higher education department of the union education ministry.
The council also added that the Association of Indian Universities has accorded the BSB equivalence to school boards in the country. The AIU has accorded equivalence to Class 10 and 12 board examination of the Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB) and it will function as a regular school Board within India,” he added.
The BSB aims re-establishing the Indian knowledge systems by discarding the education policy developed by Macaulay. It also aims at establishing knowledge systems, Bhartiya Gyan Parampara, and the gurukul system to substitute the western culture. The board was set up by yoga teacher Ramdev and Patnajali’s Balkrishna.
The AICTE was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. It is the statutory authority for planning, formulation, and maintenance of norms and standards. Its objectives are to ensure quality assurance through accreditation, funding in priority areas, monitoring, and evaluation and maintaining parity of certification and awards.
