Allahabad University fills 41 vacant teaching post, Hindi Department gets 32

NEW DELHI, JULY 2: In order to fill the vacant teaching posts, the University of Allahabad (AU) has appointed 41 teachers at various positions. The university last year initiated the process to fill up 512 vacant positions, which include 303 Assistant Professor posts and 147 posts of Associate Professor.

The majority of newly appointed teachers would be joining Hindi Department as it has been functioning without regular teachers for several years. 32 faculty members have been selected for the department, of which 21 will be joining as Assistant Professor, eight as Associate Professor and three have been appointed to the post of Professor.

Seven new teachers have been appointed in the Department of Home Science has, six as Assistant professors and one as to the post of Associate Professor.

Pradeep Kumar Sharma and Angira Sen Sharma have been appointed as faculty members in the Center of Globalization Studies.
