Anant National University, IGNCA to start PG Diploma in Cultural Management

The agreement between Anant National University and IGNCA also mentions about stating cultural management and arts administration programme in future.
NEW DELHI: The Anant National University has signed an agreement with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) to start a postgraduate diploma programme in cultural management.
The agreement was inked at the IGNCA campus in New Delhi, an autonomous institution under the ministry of culture. The two institutions will also exchange knowledge in the areas of design, indigenous arts, and culture. As per the agreement, Anant National University and IGNCA will also organise collaborative events and start a programme in cultural management and arts administration in future.
The university said this collaboration represents a unique synergy of tradition and modernity. It aims to empower students with the skills required to effectively manage and conserve cultural heritage in the dynamically changing world of today, it added.
Speaking about the partnership, Anunaya Chaubey, provost of Anant National University, said, "We at Anant University are excited about our collaboration with IGNCA to develop an all-encompassing and holistic educational program in the realms of culture, arts, crafts, architecture, and design. This program will harmonise with contemporary demands and values.” The university’s aims at nurturing 'solutionaries' through interdisciplinary and collaborative learning."

Anupa Lahiry, regional head for IGNCA, said, "The partnership between IGNCA and AnantU is a momentous union of two remarkable strengths. IGNCA's prolific work on the Samarangan Sutra of Raja Bhoj, an encyclopaedia on Indian Architecture, complements AnantU's internationally acclaimed architecture curriculum. This partnership promises to be of paramount significance, breathing new life into the field of Indian architecture."
